Definitely settling into a rhythm..
.. and feeling buzzy bout it too :D Uni is fine. I still haven't confirmed where all the toilets are, but at least i know where all my rooms are. I can now just write Anth or Chem or Bio or Stats in my diary and know where to go:) *tip* in uni, it is very necessary to develope a shorthand way of writing everything - i now have a collection of abstract symbols & such that only i get :)Finished work a few hours ago, all manner of mail has been checked & had my dinner-sized snack. Settling into homework mode however is so untempting. I love the work, it's just getting started that's the problem. The arts and the sciences have TOTALLY diff methods of teaching and setting stuff.
Consider this: For anth, our tute 'homework' was to observe someone from another culture doing something culturally idiosyncratic. That was given after i asked whether we would get any excursions -what i meant was field trips T_T Well turned out we weren't : but the homework -which our tutor said could be done on a busride- could act as some form of compensation :O And the focus in anth is horribly vague.. still, we're getting an assignment which sounds v. interesting -almost humourous. Chem and bio on the other hand are cranking their paces up a couple a' notches. I'm still with them tho i stumble a bit, but it's good to learn something that different to the arts. Stats is refreshing. That's all i can say about it. The lecturer takes such good care of us, and has a wicked sense of humour too ^^,
I had my first ADG -Oz discussion group- meeting this Tue. It was pretty fun, more coz i was recognised as a leader than anything else :P The purpose of ADG's are to help international students 'settle' into Oz by providing a group & place to talk about issues of concern, games, etc and some kids have been in ADG for a few yrs so it must be doing something right :D my co-leader is really something. He's into most things, good at the things he's into and knows most people >_> mighty hard not to like him tho; his enthusiasm is so contagious! Can't wait til nxt Tue, even tho i have work right after -_-"
Can't believe that we'll be getting a 10-day break next week -yay!!. I'm probably one of the few that actually need it. I have to beautify my notes, do waiting assignments : & get ready for the full pace work after the interlude.. I'm not sure about it but maybe i should go to the Easter Show this yr. Now that's something i haven't been to in aaages [like 3 yrs]. I also wouldn't mind going to the LOTR powerhouse deal -only $12!! They both work out about the same price-provided i go to the Easter show after 5pm >.< There are so many things that I'm jumping to do.. * complete a first aid course * get my L's * learn sign language * eat pho!! * get my passport * go to a carnival * go to church.
Well I'll be celebrating Good Friday with my church so I'll be a glowing bunny after :D Everything else will be done in a max. 3 mths time -my goal; Cept' maybe sign language -where do i learn that?
