quotes - friendship
I really like this weather. It's very wet and organic and bug-warding. It's ripe and laden with potential positives. It is simply, that melodious prelude to a deliciously hot summer that i'm sure i'll love to loathe well before it finishes:DNow today:
* missed a tute:( I'll pay for that one.
** revisited ex-workplace and had a nice mini-reunion (don't you just love the word mini- in prefix form? it can be so charming in this diminutive function) with manager and old faces.
*** did a spot of shopping. I've just been scouring one such item of purchase, a little 'Friends: Book of quotations' i got from Basement Books (my word is that place a treasure trove xx) and here are some quotes which i'll share for your musing pleasure:
::A friend is one who knows us, but loves us anyway. Fr. Jerome Cummings:: -> ::Sometimes our light goes out but is blown again into flame by an encounter with another human being. Each of us owes the deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this inner light. Albert Schweitzer:: -> ::When a friend is in trouble, don't annoy him by asking if there is anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it. Edward W. Howe:: -> ::It is not so much our friends' help that helps us as the confident knowledge that they will help us. Epicurus:: -> ::The language of friendship is not words but meanings. Henry D. Thoreau:: ->
.. and my personal favourite .. Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born -- Anais Nin
