holidays are nigh
heck, so are exams-_-' i want to update before the holidays swish me into its tranquil maelstrom tho.
So I've pretty much quit my job at Wellbeing and started a new job as a bio teacher.. what a turnaround.. and a blessing as well. I'm leaning more and more towards education for postgrad study so experience is warmly welcomed to feel what its like.. i've only taught twice so i'll wait before i mark down the nature of its impact on me.
Holidays will look something like this --> learning to teach better, chinese revision, writing letters, reading a LOT, going on St John duties, making a new dress (been wanting to do this for 2 years already *sigh*) aaand the like.. Next year around this time, i hope to visit a much loved couple in Wales and help with their gospel tent work. It sounds very meaningful ~ received a letter from them just yesterday, reminding me to keep saving up to visit them.. kindred spirits they are.
I'll also go to Newcastle nxt week for that last bit of precious time with Bernice before she goes back to Singapore:( what a sister she's evolved to be.. her presence will be dearly missed. Great now i've put myself in a nostalgic mood

oh yeah! i must record how not an hour ago, i made the perfect juice for warding off
frog-in-the-throat type colds. Your attention please:
*10 big carrots
*1 beetroot
*3 long sticks of celery
*2 slices of ginger
*1/2 a glass of water
serves 2. *deliciousness personified* cheers^^
Be not deceived; God is not mocked..
.. for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap - Galatians 6:7
Barbara told me a true story yesterday.
A daughter was leaving home for a party one night and her christian mother saw at a glance that the driver and most of the passengers were already drunk.
Worried but not knowing what else to do, she said simply: "God be with you"
Her daughter replied: "Well God will have to go in the boot cause' there's no room for him in the car".
Later that night, the car was involved in a fatal accident. Noone survived. The car was so badly wrecked that it was unrecognisable. Except the boot. Even a cartoon of eggs found inside was undamaged.
God is not mocked.
the Giant Staircase
wow - some day!
I guess i should start from the beginning*** today we started off bright and early to pick up a friend to go bushwalking in the blue mountains. Once we satisfied our carload, we headed off only for the driver to discover she'd left her handbag at home and hence, her licence. By then we were already about an hour into the drive so we asked God to take care of everything and hopefully, she won't get stopped - he answered:):):) he truly took care of everything! from the most beautiful weather we could possibly ask for to the interesting bits and pieces that come with days out in the mountains to the economy of the whole trip and the fitness and appreciation from everyone.
We took the Giant Staircase route, stopping past Katoomba Falls, took the scenic railway up, and walked back to Echo Point via the Prince Henry Cliff trail. It was tiring and all, but gee whiz the weather was nothing short of perfect^^ and the moon on the way back looked like one giant yellow cookie. Here are a couple of interesting things that happened:
* we fed king parrots at the top of the scenic railway coz the driver was ultra nice and gave us all bird seed. Some got adventurous and made a halo around our heads, sometimes stopping
on our heads and all the same time, trying to squeeze in a photo here & there*
** we saw what looked like a courtship display of 2 cute little rock warblers -which we originally thought to be robins - til a stranger stopped and corrected us:) **
well i did say
couple:) but yeah, it was just so picture perfect, and in the words of Bernice ''everytime I come here, there's something different about the mountains".. thank God for everything. I don't really wanna update on anything else but here are a few plain facts for the fact-loving ppl:
I now have licence to administer 2 analgesic gases, an epipen and defribillate an unconscious patient if ever need be thanks to completing a round of 4 courses from St John's last Saturday (but i'm still feeling a bit shaky from it all coz it was a
VERY jam-packed day; imagine kneeling most of the time from 8-5 doing CPR and assembling oxygen tanks *it's harder than it sounds*).. i have work the next 3 days so it'll be good getting back into the cycle of the working world after a long breather.. and stuvac is upon just about everyone so hurray for a break, and

for exams:( hope everyone does well..
sigh.. ooh another thing ~ beanies rock!!
