Brrrr..
.. tis that time of the year where it gets so cold you can write poetry from it..
http://www.smh.com.au/news/heckler/were-all-winners-in-the-great-lottery-of-life/2006/05/24/1148150325435.html this guy's argument is superb .. how special would you feel after reading it? :) noone would feel suicidal after such a piece.
It's been a while with uni keepin' me buzzy. Quite a lot has happened -not to me- but to everyone else around me so that i'm inextricably pulled into the matrix which makes no difference anyway:D Let's see, I remember in moments, so here are the most memorable of the lot this past month:
1. seeing Manda and old faces after tens of thousands of minutes separation
2. a matrix dream i had (this is too freaky to post here)
3. receiving my vision of a future career -teaching or naturopathy
4. second St John's duty at a footy game 5. finishing stage 1 of my booklet so I can actually start treating ppl now:)
6. talking to my beloved grandparents (grandpoppies) and facilitating a friendship btw them and another friend
7. knowing i'll be getting a box load of clothes from them for the winter
:):):) aren't grandpoppies so wonderful? the world would be so much the better if we excavated that grandpoppy gene inside us and started being wise & funny & generous & huggable & everything else that are so inherently grandpoppish.
Anyway that's that. Oh, we covered a lecture on Rene Descartes this week - what an awesome guy.. this week has been a week full of funny stories and discoveries. From anthropology - my lecturer who did her PhD in India, was telling us about some of the things she had to get use to there e.g. Monsoon season is traditionally the season of romance! who woulda thought?! amidst monsoon sickness and the reality of tuberculosis, there are songs been sung and everything.. wow.. From bio - well, i'll tell you once i've had a lecture.. From HPSC - the great champions of knowledge Francis Bacon and Rene of course.. From CHNS - know what? i think i'm beginning to internalise mandarin as a second language. Whereas reading from a text use to require stopping for terrible lengths at a time just to pronounce everything perfectly, for the first time today, I read the text fluent as could be. So there you go folks.. 12 weeks later and learning a second language becomes second nature:D
Another discovery: I don't find the concept of love at first sight so incredible to be unbelievable anymore..
